- 4 (6 oz) salmon filets
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice plus extra lemon slices for topping
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and let the salmon come to room temperature.
Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and arrange salmon filets skin side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick spray. Generously season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, melt butter and stir in minced garlic, lemon juice and Dijon mustard until all combined. Spoon or brush the mixture over top of each salmon filet so that each piece is completely covered. Top each filet with a slice of lemon.
Bake salmon for 12 to 15 minutes until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
